I use flower close-ups as interludes in my travel photography. I display my photos using Apple’s IPhoto syncing the images with appropriate soundtracks, at least sound tracks that I think correlate to the images. The flower images act as a ‘break’ from the theme of the slideshow. This book will be a great help in improving the flower breaks.

I have been doing macro photography for a long time and usually use a Nikon Z8 with a 105mm f2.8 lens but on a recent trip I took along my Samsung s25 ultra which takes superb macro photos so the 105 mm lens did not even come out of the bag. Yes background blurring on the phone is a problem in normal macro mode the the aperture can be can be changed to f16 and it blurs the background just fine. For most photo it did not matter because of the way I photograph flowers but the background is easily blurred in post. Depth of field on the Samsung S25 ultra is easily controlled and I have used nothing else for the last 3 months.
